Board Directors

Jim Moonier

Chairman

Jim has over thirty-five years of experience in the financial services industry with MRA Advisors inc., Alpha Capital Research, Morgan Stanley and Morgan Guaranty Trust Co. of New York. He has extensive global experience in capital markets and the investment management business, including roles in Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore, New York, Taipei and Honolulu. Jim was in charge of Morgan Stanley’s commodities trading operation in Singapore for almost 10 years.

Mark Heath

Director

USCPA. After working at Arthur Young (now Ernst & Young) in Texas, Mark moved to Guam to join Peat Marwick & Mitchell (now KPMG). Thereafter, he became an instructor of accounting at the University of Guam and taught students from Palau, Guam, CNMI, FSM and the Marshalls. In 1986, he became Chief Financial Officer of the University of Guam and held that position under various titles such as Controller, Vice President of Finance, and Vice President of Administration and Finance. He took a keen interest in investment and capital markets, and took a part-time position with a fund management firm, which became a full-time position after he retired from the University of Guam. He has been CFO of MRA since 2005.

Eugene Loy

Director

Eugene has over 16 years experience in commercial banking, capital markets and corporate advisory. He previously served as a non-executive director of various ASX listed companies. Eugene is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and received his Bachelor of Business degree with a major in finance.

Troy Brice

Chief Executive Officer & Director

Troy is an experienced mining professional, Director & Chief Executive Officer. An international business leader with a commitment to team development and business strengthening.  Troy’s strong background in the resources, O&G and maritime industries, positions him to deliver immediate results for the business. An experienced Board Director, his functional specialization includes commercial, operations, production, business development, M&A, shipping, and supply chain management.  His mining experience with Shell Coal & Rio Tinto extends across five continents in a range of commodities, in exploration, greenfield development and brownfield expansion projects. Troy is a graduate of the Royal Military College of Australia, the University of New England, Duke University, INSEAD France and Southern Cross University.

Chris Godfrey

Senior Site Executive

Chris, Site Senior Executive (SSE) has deep skill sets around acquiring, commissioning and operating mineral resource projects particularly in HR, contract management, plant construction and commissioning, logistics and supply chains.  Chris has held senior operational roles in ASX listed companies, large multinational and international companies to small capital ventures including mineral sands, metalliferous, gold and coal mines and processing facilities throughout Victoria, Western Australia, and Queensland.  Chris has held Executive Director and Non-Executive Director positions and has held the Site Senior Executive Notice at many mines throughout Queensland.  Chris has over 25 years in the resources industry and has qualifications in Business Management, Human Resources Management, Occupational Health and Safety Management and Drill and Blast Qualifications.

Iga Augerea

Mine Manager, MGT Minerals

Iga is a mining engineer by profession and joined MGT Minerals in 2023 as the Mine Manager. His expertise as a seasoned miner extends from working in world class mining operations in PNG & Australia, including Porgera Gold Mine for Barrick Gold, OK Tedi Mining Limited (BHP), Zinc Open Pits at Mount Isa Mines & the McAurther River Mine for Glencore, Moorvale Coal mine, Phosphate Hill Mine with Incetec Pivot Ltd and Mt Carlton mine with Evolution Mining.  Iga’s professional experience includes being a Registered & Operations Mine Manager for mine waste Riverine Dredging and Rehabilitation, Principal Mine Engineer, Mine Production and Strategic Mine Planning. He has experience across multiple metals and minerals, from green field startups to brownfield pit expansions. Iga’s hands-on exposure in mining operations has been supported by his natural leadership style and fostering a genuine respect for the environment, the community, and importantly the Traditional Owners.

Priscilla Mathews

Health, Safety, Security, Emergency Services (HSSES) & Training Superintendent

Priscilla is an interdisciplinary individual with wide-ranged expertise in the fields of occupational health and safety, Security, Training and Emergency Services and Response.  With several years serving as a Firefighter in (QFES), over 10 years’ as a qualified paramedic and vast experience in fire and emergency management in the mining industry, Priscilla has extensive experience leading the management and coordination of prevention, preparedness, response and recovery for all hazards as well as strategic control and coordination for major emergencies within the mining industry.  Priscilla has gained extensive experience through her time with BHP Billiton and Fortescue Metals Group in Emergency Services and OH&S supervisory and training roles.  Priscilla holds Diploma’s in Occupational Health and Safety, Paramedical Science, Security and Risk Management, and an Advanced Diploma of Management. She also holds certificates in Training & Assessing and Certificate III in Mines Rescue.  She is well versed in all facets of Safety, mining, training and emergency services operations and practices.

Tristan Garthe

Chief Financial Officer

Tristan brings a wealth of expertise and a deep understanding of the mining industry to the Company. With a proven track record of strategic financial management, he is committed to sustainable and responsible mining practices and driving financial success and long-term growth. An experienced executive, he possesses 20 years’ experience in financial leadership roles, overseeing financial strategy and optimising performance through robust practices and risk management. He has diverse experience within the minerals and coal industries in Australia and Africa, for listed and international resources companies across operational assets and development projects. Tristan is a FCPA and holds an MBA, Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and a Bachelor of Commerce. He is a Graduate of the AICD and a member of the Governance Institute of Australia.
